We made an appointment to meet James. He was so friendly and welcoming and sat and went through our kitchen makeover. Working with us to keep our granite worktops. Nothing was too much bother and he showed us different designs and handles. We chose a two tone kitchen which complimented each other from the brochure. Indigo blue on the top and light grey on the bottom. Throughout the service James kept us updated on delivery and we ended getting it delivered and fitted a week earlier which was fantastic customer service. James has a vast knowledge and this is due to his 20 years experience. James organised Ian to fit the kitchen. Ian was friendly, professional and very experienced which you can tell with the fitting of our kitchen. Ian tidied up after himself and kitchen was fitted in two days. We had a bad experience with the first company we used a few years ago for our kitchen very substandard work, rude and unhelpful staff so you can imagine we were very nervous to get a new kitchen. We should not have worried as James was amazing. The quality of units and finish has transformed our kitchen. We recommend Kitchen Studio for the whole experience of a new kitchen. We have enclosed before and after photos. Thank you James and Ian.

We felt very welcome in this new to Sunderland business. James explained he had been in the business for over 20 years but had recently relocated to Sunderland. We were his first customers through the door and were very impressed with the showroom.
We worked together on a design for the kitchen and very soon put our order in. In a matter of weeks my old kitchen was removed and Nigel the fitter did an excellent job. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the fitting and in less than 2 weeks I had my dream kitchen.
A shout out to Ricky Powney who tiled the walls in a very professional manner too.

Professional Kitchen Worktop Replacement Services?
Replacing kitchen worktops is a practical way to improve the appearance and functionality of your kitchen while keeping your existing cabinets. Kitchen Studio delivers a complete worktop replacement service for homeowners across Sunderland who want durable surfaces that suit everyday use and complement their kitchen design.
Our kitchen worktop installation service is tailored to each property. We help you choose suitable materials, prepare every worktop to the correct specification, and complete the installation with attention to detail. Industry research shows that kitchen upgrades remain one of the most common home improvement projects because they improve usability and can contribute to long term property value.
Our Kitchen Worktop Replacement Process
A well planned installation helps achieve an accurate fit and reliable performance. Our process is designed to keep the project organised while delivering a clean finish.
Consultation and Home Assessment
We begin with a consultation to understand your requirements, inspect your kitchen layout, and discuss suitable worktop materials. During the home assessment, we identify any details that may affect the installation, including wall alignment, cabinetry, splashbacks, and appliance positions.
Measuring and Templating
Accurate measuring forms the foundation of every successful installation. We record the dimensions of your worktops and prepare detailed templating where required. This stage allows us to produce worktops that fit correctly around sinks, hobs, corners, and kitchen islands.
Fabrication
Once measurements are confirmed, we prepare your chosen material using professional fabrication methods. We complete precision cutting, sink cut outs, hob cut outs, edge profiles, and mitre joints to match the design of your kitchen before installation begins.
Kitchen Worktop Installation
Our installers remove the existing worktops carefully before positioning each new section. Every worktop is aligned, secured, and checked throughout the installation process to create smooth transitions and seamless joints where multiple sections meet.
Final Inspection
Before completing the project, we carry out a final quality inspection to ensure the worktops are securely fitted and finished to specification. We also provide practical maintenance guidance so your new kitchen worktops continue to perform well for years.
Signs It Is Time to Replace Your Kitchen Worktops
Replacing worn worktops improves both the appearance and functionality of your kitchen. If you notice any of the following issues, it may be time to consider a professional kitchen worktop replacement.
- Visible damage: Scratches, chips, burns, swelling, or cracks can reduce both safety and daily usability.
- Water damage near sinks: Moisture around sink cut outs can damage laminate, timber, and nearby cabinetry.
- Outdated appearance: Older worktops can make the whole kitchen look dated, even when cabinets still function well.
- Kitchen renovation plans: New worktops help create a cleaner finish during a kitchen renovation.
- Poor hygiene: Worn surfaces can hold dirt and moisture, making cleaning harder.
- Weak joints or edges: Loose joints, lifting edges, or gaps can affect durability and appearance.
